Stars...
They remind me a time, in my youth, when we ( my sisters and I ) would find these " Sea Stars" on the beach. Some were very soft, wet and others already dried from the hot sun.Sometimes, I wonder if my son will ever experience such simple situations. Men have been destroying habitats when they should be working to preserve all the natural wonders.
I read that the American Indians believed that Earth didn't belong to them, it was a treasure that they had to preserve and care for, because it belonged to the future generations.
I can only say: "how wise!!!"

Há coisas simples que passam por nós e não damos importância ou, a devida importância, na altura mas que depois um dia mais tarde recordamo-las com saudade. Quando eu era criança fazia uma série de coisas que não vejo as crianças de hoje a fazerem... Brincava por aí, pela rua, corria, brincava, sujava-me... Pergunto-me às vezes se as crianças e adolescentes hoje têm as prioridades bem definidas.
Acho que deves tentar mostrar ao teu filho todas as particularidades deste nosso mundo maravilhoso, do quão é belo! Quanto à sua preservação, teremos que ser nós: eu, tu, o teu filho, os que te visitam aqui, a contribuir para que este seja preservado. Se todos nós fizermos o nosso bocadinho então tudo se tornará mais facil. Sabes, se há uma coisa que eu aprendi na faculdade, foi que não podemos querer "salvar" o mundo porque seria uma luta desigual e infrutifera. Temos é que adaptar as nossas necessidades ao mundo... Mas podemos faze-lo de qualquer forma ou de uma forma consciente!Mas (cá para nós) essa consciencia só virá se dermos importancia às coisas simples... e tenho receio que isso se esteja a perder cada vez mais!

I love to contemplate nature... It transmits me a lot of peace and serenity... I use to pay attention to nature details.. It's so beautiful! You wrote about sea stars... It made me remember last summer, when we (my cousins and I) found three in sand and then we put them in the sea ;)
In this moment, I'm looking at my window.. What do I see? The sun is shining, so many beautiful trees, birds are flying away... I really loved to see it... It makes me feel more relaxed and better sometimes... Some years ago (I attended 7th class), I wrote a text for school's newspaper whose title was "O Silêncio da Natureza".. I was adapting it during two years.. It's a topic that always inspired myself.. ;)
Unfortunately, these little things are forgotten by people, because they, more and more, are involved by their work, stress and technology... It's necessary to value this little and so beautiful natural things... Nature should be respected and protected by us, it's in our hands...
